Let's talk about themes & genres. Who here still knows the difference and can name a few examples?

Themes & genres

Write with me: 

Genre: The bigger category of the book itself. 

Example: drama, horror, thriller, comedy, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, etc... 

Themes: Smaller subjects of storylines

Example: mental health, physical health, friendships, mourning, summer, traveling, disabilities, poverty, class differences, falling in love, family, etc...

• We are going to read chapter 1 & 2
• After reading we are going to start working on Basic Questions 1 - 3
• When you're done, start working on workbook page 1, 
  2: Class Differences - Chapter 1 - 3.

Extra exercise: design a cover

• Use an A4 paper
• Be creative and draw a cover of the book
• You have a couple of weeks to finish the cover, so take your time
