In part 1 of the Writing paper, you have to write an essay. This task is compulsory. The topic of the essay is in the form of either a question that you have to answer, or a statement that you have to agree or disagree with.

1. either just give arguments in favour of your own opinion, or
2. you can give arguments to support and oppose the idea and end by giving your own opinion.
