Word count dictation

Eliciting race against the clock

• The class will be divided into two groups
• Each group has a captain.
• The captain goes to the front of the classroom
• The teacher shows the captain the list of words.
• The captain has to elicit from their team the words on the list one by one. 
• The first team to produce the target word wins a point.  

Word grouping - follow up 

In pairs, group the words in more than one way
