Goals: 

- Know the different types of pollution 

- Know how to work with the notebook 

How to:  notebook

1.  Keep your book and notebook during class with you

2. When I say, take a note / copy this.... write it in your notebook.

3. Don't forget to write a title for each note or the date 

4. Back at school: Grade for notebook - show everything you did during working at home. 

Pay attention!

Before writing:

Keep 1 page empty for the Front cover of Unit 6! 

Task: brainstorm

1. Write down the word: Pollution 

2. Make a brainstorm. Think about at least 10 words 

which have something to do with Pollution 

3. More words is better.

Fill in at least 3 words from your brainstorm

Note: Types of pollution

There are three types of pollution.

1. Air Pollution --> Gasses, fumes, chemicals 

2. Water pollution --> Waste materials, chemicals, plastic etc. 

3. Land pollution --> Everything that is not natural to the
                                            environment and harms nature. 

Breaking down of materials 

Natural products 

will break down 

'easily' in nature.

They rot and will 
become nutrients 

for the soil... 

How long do you think it takes to break down a banana peel?

How long do you think it takes to break down a plastic bag in nature?

How long do you think it takes to break down a cigarette butt in nature?

How long does it take?

Materials that do not 
belong in nature 
take hundreds to millions
of years to dissapear.

Some will never break 
down...
