You can talk about (un)countable nouns using some/any/much/many/a lot of.

1, 2, 3 = countables
- singular nouns = 1 thing or apple
- plural nouns = 2+ things or apples  
= carrot, dog, bottle
- nouns that end in ch, x, s, or s sounds, add -es
= box, watch, bus
- nouns that end in y sometimes change to -ies
= family, city, fairy
- some nouns are different and weird
= child, woman, mouse

  • usually + -s
  • carrots, dogs, bottles
  • boxes, watches, buses
  • families, cities, fairies
  • children, women, mice
