Todays lesson

There are two ways of talking about things happening today.

At the end of this lesson you will know when to use which. 

Present simple

Present simple: Use the verb (hele werkwoord) eg I walk.

only he/she/it adds an S (eg he walks)

We use it for facts, habits and routines

BUT....

Sometimes we add "es" instead of "s"

Verbs ending in a hissing sound (eg kiss, watch, push, fix)

Verbs ending in -dy, -ry, -ly: add an -ies

Study - he / she / it studies

Try - he / she / it tries

Reply - he / she / it replies

play - he/she/it plays

P.Simp. He/she/it- O endings

Verbs ending in O: -es

Do - he / she/ it does

Go - he / she / it goes

Sandra goes to work by bike
