• De present simple gebruik je voor feiten & gewoonten 

Bijv: I walk to school every day. (gewoonte)/ He likes school (feit)

• Bij he/she/it zet je achter het werkwoord een S

Bijv: She loves school. / It rains every day. 

• Bij he/she/it verandert Y in IES en een S klank in es

Bijv: I study, she studies. I watch, he watches.

Negations to be

Ontkenningen met het werkwoord zijn

• Drie vormen: I am not/ You are not/ He,she,it is not. 
• Drie manieren om het te schrijven: You are not / you're not / you aren't  / He is not / he's not / he isn't
