  • Metals  ( iron, copper, aluminium, gold, silver) 
  • Other (non-metallic) ( basalt, limestone, sand, granite)

Coal is formed when dead plant matter submerged in swamp environments is subjected to the geological forces of heat and pressure over hundreds of millions of years.
