Past simple questions:
  • Rule 1: Was / were + auxilliary verbs (could/would) + sentence
  • Rule 2: With all the other verbs --> did + rest sentence
  • When you ask a WH-question (who, what, which, when, where, why/ how) --> WH + rest of the sentence.

There are two ways to mage a negative sentence in the p.s.

  • Rule 1: With was/ were + auxilliary verbs --> add not / n't

  • Rule 2: With all the other verbs: didn't + infinitive
