Much en Many beteken allebei Veel

Much gebruik je bij woorden die ontelbaar zijn:

sugar, money, time, enz.

Many gebruik je bij woorden die telbaar zijn:

Euros, friends, minutes, enz.

Some or Any

Some en Any betekenen allebei een beetje of wat

Some gebruik je bij bevestigende zinnen, wanneer je iets aanbied of als je een verzoek doet.

I have some money / Would you like some tea? / Could I have some money please?

Any gebruik je bij ontkenningen en vraagzinnen

I don't have any money. / Have you got any questions?

little / a little / few / a few

little = weinig (niet telbaar)

few = weinig (telbaar)

a little = een beetje (niet telbaar)

a few = een paar (telbaar)
