Some blame the poor for not feeding themselves properly. A model diet, so the argument goes, is that of the average Mediterranean peasant. It is easy to eat well on a modest income, the theory goes.
**So why it is that millions don't?** Some, of course, choose to ignore the message, and not just among the ranks of the poor. But for millions there is no choice-in short, they cannot afford what goes hand in hand with getting a good diet.
