• De vorm gebruik je als iets aan de gang is op het moment dat je erover spreekt of schrijft.
• Iets gebeurt dus op dit moment.

am / are / is + werkwoord + ing

He is working at the moment.

These cows are eating in the stable

sommige werkwoorden eindigen op een 'stomme e'

(je schrijft hem wel maar je hoort hem niet)

move - moving

drive - driving

hope - hoping

make - making

Oh ja! Oh ja!

sommige werkwoorden krijgen een verdubbeling van de medeklinker

run - running

plan - planning

swim - swimming

stop - stopping

She ....(not- write) a letter to her father

They..... (eat) their lunch now?
