Past simple

Usage: It is used to describe actions or events that happened and were completed at a specific time in the past

Regular verbs: stam + ed (walk + ed = walked)

Past simple 

Usage: The past simple is used to talk about actions or events that happened and finished in the past.

Form:

Regular verbs: Add "-ed" to the base form of the verb (e.g., "play" → "played").

Irregular verbs: These verbs have special forms in the past (e.g., "go" → "went").

Examples:

"I visited my grandparents last weekend." (regular verb)

"They went to the park yesterday." (irregular verb)

Yesterday he ____ (werken) on his paper.
