Mechanical Digestion:

This is when the food is broken down into smaller pieces physically by your teeth and other organs (muscles).

Chemical Digestion:

This is when the food is broken down into smaller pieces chemically by your enzymes and other digestive juices.

Digestion

This is when the smallest broken down nutrients enter the bloodstream through the villi (folds in your intestines).
