The qualities of a good presentation

Slide 23 - Tekstslide

Clear structure
Organise your presenation logically
Make sure to prepare your presentation carefully in steps
First, start with a introduce
Introduce your main topics on a new slide
Include pictures as a visual reference so you don't get lost
Skip what you do not remember
End with a conclusion before asking for questions

Slide 24 - Tekstslide

Engaging opening
Say an interesting fact about your topic (you could easily look that up online)
Do this before starting your other main points

Slide 25 - Tekstslide

Examples of engaging openings

The ‘Greatest’ Briton (Winston Churchill), the ‘British Bulldog’, was in fact half American
The battle of Culloden ended the clan system
The person in supersize me nearly doubled his risk of coronary heart disease

Slide 26 - Tekstslide

Stick to relevant content
To make it interesting only tell what you find interesting (and possibly the audience) about a topic
So skip dates of birth -> presenting is not about being complete but talking about what is interesting about the topic to you

Slide 27 - Tekstslide

Effective visual aids
Opt for clear and visually appealing slides, engaging images
Make sure they are relevant to the topic

Slide 28 - Tekstslide

Engaging delivery
Either be enthusiastic while presenting or pretend
Maintain eye contact, use expressive gestures and vary your tone of voice to keep your audience glued to the edge of their seats.

Slide 29 - Tekstslide

Strong conclusion
Last impressions linger! Summarize your main points and leave your audience with a clear takeaway. End your presentation with a bang, a call to action or an inspiring thought that resonates long after the conclusion.

Slide 30 - Tekstslide

Strong conclusion
Show one final picture on your conclusion slide and explain the relevance
Share one more interesting fact about your topic
