much / many

much / many = veel 

There isn't much milk left. You should buy some. 

There aren't many apples left. You should buy some. 

few / little

few / little = weinig

There is little milk left. You should buy some. 

There are few apples left. You should buy some. 

much / little

much / little gebruiken we voor zelfstandig naamwoorden die we niet kunnen tellen. 

Bijv. water, lucht, geld, melk, sneeuw. 

één water, twee water --- kan niet!

many / few

many / few gebruiken we voor zelfstandig naamwoorden die we wel kunnen tellen. 

Bijv. bananen, boeken, telefoons, etc.

één banaan, twee bananen --- kan wel!

Deze woorden kun je dus in het meervoud zetten.

a few / a little

a few = een paar 

I have a few apples left, do you want one?

a little = een beetje

There's a little soup left, do you want some?

more / less

more = meer

If I were you, I would eat more fruit. 

less = minder

You should eat less sugar. 

Food Diary

In pairs, give each other advice based on their food diary. 

Read the food diary and write three sentences of advice. 

Use the quantifiers we just discussed. 

Example: You eat a lot of candy. You should eat less sugar.
