What is a professional profile?

Professional Profile

A professional profile, also known as a personal statement, is a brief summary of who you are, your skills, experience and career goals. The profile is the equivalent of an elevator pitch, which is designed to capture the employer's interest so that they read your CV in full.

1. Your online profile needs to be concise, engaging and convincing.

2. State a clear title/role under your name.

3. Your summary should be in short paragraphs.

4. Think about who you want to read your profile and write in an appropriate style for them.

5. Add links to examples of your work if you have them.

6. Check it carefully and get feedback from a friend or colleague.
