WHAT ARE TAG QUESTIONS?

De question tag gebruik je in het Nederlands als je hè, toch of nietwaar gebruikt. De regel is als volgt;

1. Is de hoofdzin bevestigend dan is de tag ontkennend.

             Vb. He is good, isn't he?

             Is de hoofdzin ontkennend dan is de tag bevestigend.

             Vb. He isn't good, is he?

2.  Staat er een vorm van het werkwoord 'to be' of 'to have' in de hoofdzin? herhaal dat in de tag question!

She has a car, hasn't she?

We weren't smart, were we?

Maar let op: I am rich, aren't I ?

3. Staat er een hulpwerkwoord in de hoofdzin? (Can/will/should):Herhaal dat in de tag question!

4. Staat er een gewoon werkwoord in de hoofdzin?
Gebruik dan do/does (tegenwoordige tijd) of did (verleden tijd)

We walked to school, didn't we?

He doesn't play football, does he?

Adverb = bijwoord

Een bijwoord gebruik je om aan te geven HOE iemand iets doet. Een bijwoord omschrijft vaak een werkwoord, maar ook een ander bijwoord, een bijvoeglijk naamwoord of de hele zin.

    Mary sings wonderfully.

    My grandparents talk incredibly loudly.

    I am eating an amazingly delicious steak right now.

    Hopefully, she will call me back later.

He was nice.                                    He plays the piano nicely.
