What is the Past Continuous?

Like the Past Simple, we use the Past Continuous to talk about the past (something that already happened).

How do I make the Past Continous?

To make the Past Continuous, you need: was/were + verb + ing

For Example

• I was sleeping
• He was eating
• You were running

When do I use the Past Continuous?

We use the Past Continuous:

• For actions happening at and around a time in the past.
• For actions happening when another thing happened.
