P3: Stems

Tissue in tree trunk: cambium: layer of cells just beneath the bark, forms new on wood the inside, stays underneath the bark

Trees:-Have annual rings (jaarringen).

-Annual rings have a light and a dark part. Each year a new layer of:

Dark: made in summer (late wood)

Light: Made in spring (early wood), grows fast in spring
