- Your article could be titled, “Lessons from a Lifetime: My Grandfather’s Journey.” Or "My Dad Was Wild - Now He Is BORING".
- You might include a direct quote from him like, “I never thought I’d make it through the toughest times, but hard work saw me through.”
- In the conclusion, you might reflect on how his story inspires you to face your own challenges or how different your personalities are.

Creative Journaling that includes a digital collage or memory board:

Write a journal article that showcases the highlights of the interview, while also visually representing the memories and stories shared in the interview using photos, drawings, or other creative materials.
- In a creative journal entry, you might write about your grandparent’s story of their first job and how it reminded you of your own experience starting your first part-time job.
- Your collage could include a picture of a workplace, a quote from your grandparent like “I remember earning my first paycheck,” or an image of something personal that represents work.

Reflective Journal or Diary Entry with a future reflection:

- Reflect on the interview and what you learned from it, then include your thoughts and feelings. Also be sure to look forward and reflect on advice you can give to your own children in the future. For example:
-In your reflective diary, you could perhaps write about your parent’s story of overcoming challenges at school, linking it to a recent experience of your own. Perhaps reflecting on how perseverance is a value you now hold more deeply.
- For the future reflection, you might write, “One day, I will tell my children about the time I worked hard to achieve a goal, just like my father did.”

Video diary and reflection of the interview:

Feeling more confident speaking than writing? Record a video diary in which you reflect on the interview and what you learned from it, then include your thoughts and feelings. For example:
- You could create a PowerPoint presentation with pictures and quotes that you use while reflecting on the interview
- You could record the interviewee and show snippets that you talk about and reflect on.
