Present tenses: 

Present simple: She always eats bananas. (habit, fact)

Present continuous: She is eating a banana (now)

(be + verb + -ing, longer time)

Present perfect: She has eaten ten bananas and feels sick. 

(have/has + past participle/voltooid deelwoord)

Past tenses:

Past simple: She ate a banana yesterday. (irregular: to eat)

(Regular: to cook: She cooked a meal with bananas).

Past continuous: She was eating a banana when she sneezed.

(be + verb + -ing, longer time in the past + past simple)

Chapter 4: future tense

- Will/shall: no proof, uncertain: It will rain today. (?)

- Going to: proof, plan, certain: I'm going to pray on Sunday.

- Present simple as future: schedule/timetable: The bus leaves every hour.

- Present continuous as future: time + place is fixed: My uncle is opening a restaurant in The Hague on Wednesday.
