Slide 2 - Tekstslide

Why do Cambridge organise the Speaking test in duo's?

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

Why are there two examiners in the room?

You can say Hello and Goodbye but other than that: Don't interact with the Assessor (Examiner 2) He/She is just there to listen to you and Examiner 1.

Slide 4 - Woordweb

Focus on production:
Put forth ideas - to be able to give ideas clearly.
Expand and develop
Language range and accuracy - to be able to make a point more specifically

Slide 5 - Woordweb

Focus on Interaction

Turn taking: Ask for your partner's opinion, What do you think? Do you agree?

Listening actively and respond: I see what you are saying, I agree with you. I am not sure that I really agree with that.

Functional Language: A good language range to help us to explain things in different ways.

You are presented with a word web with a question in the middle and a discussion points around the edge.

Remember that you have 15 seconds to look at the task, think of vocabulary you will need, what sort of questions can you ask your partner?

REMEMBER NOT TO INTERACT WITH THE EXAMINER HERE. LOOK AT YOUR PARTNER.

Try and remember that you are dancing with your partner : Discuss the ideas together, not in turn, but try and discuss the topics together in a natural way. Respond before moving on.

Be aware that you are not there on your own. If you have finished quite a long opinion, turn to your partner and invite their opinion by asking "what do you think?", Do you agree? "Don't you think?
TRY AND FACE EACH OTHER
