Exercise 1 - Vocabulary
  • Go to page 14 of your student's book.
  • Look at 1 vocabulary.
  • Look at the photos. How do you think these people are feeling? Use the adjectives below. Why do you think that is.
Example:
Start your sentences with:

I think the boy in photo 1 looks..... Maybe he......

Adjectives to describe feelings

Adjective + preposition + noun (or pronoun)
Bijvoeglijk naamwoord + voorzetsel + zelfstandignaamwoord (voornaamwoord).


Different adjectives take different prepositions.

I am bored with this weather.
Are you scared of spiders? / Are you scared of him?



In a WH- question, the preposition often goes at the end.

What are you angry about?
Who is she scared of?

Use suffixes (-ment, -ion and -ness)

-We use -ment and -ion to form nouns from verbs.
- We use - ness to form nouns from adjectives.

The spelling sometimes changes.
