Project Lesson 2
London interviews:
- Introduction video
- Writing question

Slide 1 - Tekstslide

Why make an Introduction?
To prepare your listeners about your topic!
Your introduction gives a lot of information. You can let
listeners know what your topic is, why it is important, and
how you plan to discuss it.

Slide 2 - Tekstslide

Video introduction to topic
Requirements

  • Each group prepares a short introduction video to the topic
  • The video should be around 1 minute (20-30 seconds of speaking time per person)
  • The video and script must be handed in before leaving for London

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

What to include in the Introduction video

  • A hook to capture the listener's attention (something that gets them interested)
  • Background information on the topic (based on your research in class)
  • A short, clear statement or point of view and how you plan to tell the listener what's coming next to prove/disprove your statement

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

You will be conducting one (or more) interview(s) in London about the topic you chose
Today, we will start writing the questions for that interview!
- Minimum of 10 open questions per student
- In London...

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

But first... what makes an interview good?

Slide 6 - Tekstslide

What makes an interview
interesting to you?

Slide 7 - Woordweb

Before you start writing your interview questions, write down your chosen topic and
the names of your group members here

Slide 8 - Open vraag

Your interview questions must:
- be open ended (no 'yes' or 'no' questions)
- be relevant to your topic
- give the person you are interviewing the chance to share something interesting about the topic and themselves

Think first: What do you want to know/learn about your chosen topic?

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Now.... Start writing your questions!  You have 15 minutes to work on this. When the time is up, write down the questions you have so far on the next slide. It might be easier to work in the Word document you have (London interviews question template) and then copy your questions into this LessonUp.

Ladies and gentlemen... onward!
Save the interview questions you have so far in your Word document.  You must complete them before class on FILL IN DATE and hand them in via SomToday Inleveropdrachten. They have to be approved  by the teacher before you go to London.

Now, read the article on the next slide about conducting good interviews (5 min.).  Be ready to answer some questions and discuss which tips are the most important for you to keep in mind for your London interviews.
