How will we judge your test? 

Testweek D 

You will be judged on your ability to write short messages. 

You get points for: 

Spelling

Grammar 

Vocabulary 

How you carry out the assignment (do you do what is asked of you?) 

Spelling mistakes we often see

- i

- becuse / cuz

- its / it's

- where / were

- then / than

- with / wiht / whit

- memory's

General tips

Use: firstly (1), secondly (2) and lastly when summing up information.

Use alternatives for very such as: incredibly, absolutely or extremely

Always check your test before you hand it in!

Useful grammar: word order

- I go every day to school.

- I am available in June but after 

that go I on vacation.

Useful grammar: past simple

- Used to talk about things that happened in the past.

- Useful for telling stories

- Useful for talking about experiences

Rules:

- Regular verb: +ed

- Irregular verb: study by heart! (went, saw, swam)

- Work on the worksheet with useful vocab and grammar exercises

- Work on a writing exercise to improve your writing skills (take one sheet of paper from the table)
