Keith Haring
He was an American artist who developed his style through graffiti in New York City.

His art is bright, simple and communicates a message.

Street Art
Haring's art became popular in America on the walls of train stations, streets, subways and even schools!
It uses bright colours and includes figures, dogs and objects like TVs.

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

Keith Haring's art was part of the Pop Art movement, like Andy Warhol's art. It was really recognisable all over the world.
It often looked animated by using movement lines, can you spot them?

Important messages
Keith Haring wanted his art to represent an idea of acceptance. He wanted it to show how we should accept everyone for who they are no matter their race, gender or sexuality.
