Adjectives

Give information about a noun (famous singer, sweet dog, red car)

Word order:

Who/what - does - what - where - when

He - watched - a funny film - at home - last weekend.

Adjective comes before the noun (the what), or after certain verbs: to be, to look, to appear, to seem

Adverbs

Give information about actions
(Walked wearily, danced gracefully, screamed loudly)

Usually come after the main verb

Some adverbs show how often something happens (never, usually, often)
These come before the verb, and after to be

Scientific	+ -ally	Scientifically
Terrible	+ -e -> -y	Terribly

Guess who

• Pick a fictional character or a celebrity
• Write a description of about three to four sentences

• Present these to each other and guess who your partner has in mind!
