1. in het verleden gebeurd, niet belangrijk wanneer.
--We have finished all our work.
--She has given me a really good idea.

2. In het verleden begonnen, gaat nog door.
--I have been hier since two months ago.
--I haven't seen you in weeks.
--Have you been here for a long time?

Present perfect

3. in het verleden gebeurd, nu nog resultaat.
--I have done my homework. Here it is.
--He has broken his leg. His leg is in plaster.
4. bepaalde woorden om aan te geven:

--Have they just joined the chess club?
--They haven't finished yet.
