The rules are pretty much the same

They just have different 'standaard-zinnen'.

You can find them in the booklet.

In a formal letter, what comes first?

1. Your name
2. Your address
3. The address of the company (Adressee)
4. The date

In a formal letter, what comes second?

1. The date
2. The addressee (company)
3. Dear Sir/Madam,
4. The turtle

In a formal letter, what comes third?

1. The time
2. The date
3. What's up
4. Nothing.

Start if you don't know the name:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Start if you do know the name:

Dear Mr. Magid,

Dear Ms. Smith, 

(don't use Miss/Mrs, it's too confusing and a bit old-fashioned).

When you end the letter, what do you do?

First, to end your letter:

use a standard last sentene, such as:

I am looking forward to hear from you soon.

What do you write after ending your letter?

1. Greetings,
2. Yours faithfully,
3. Yours sincerely,
4. It depends

NEVER greetings.

What comes after yours sincerely, / yours faithfully, ?

1. Signature, Full name
2. Signature, last name
3. Name and phone number
4. Name

Show the connection between sentences / paragraphs.

But / additionally /Moreover / firstly, secondly / alternatively / despite ...

When you start talking about a new subject, write a new paragraph.

How are your parents doing? Are they Ok? I remember how sweet your mother was to me when I was not feeling good.
