Cybercrime

Any criminal activity carried out over the internet is referred to as cybercrime.

Common forms of cybercrime

• phishing: using fake email messages to get personal information from internet users;
• hacking: shutting down or misusing websites or computer networks;
  
• spreading hate and inciting terrorism;
  
• distributing child pornography;
  
• grooming: .......................

So, what are the 7 stages of grooming?

We are going to read a text about Social Media and Online Grooming. 

This is a difficult text and therefore you may use your dictionary.

Using your dictionary is also part of a reading strategy.

Who remembers the reading strategies?

The three different types of reading strategies

Skimming, scanning, and in-depth reading.

You will read the text completely and, if necessary, look up the meaning of difficult words in a dictionary.

Social Media and Online Grooming 

Answer the questions about the text.

Dictionary race game

1. Shuffle the word cards and place them face down on the table. 
2. One student (the game leader) flips a card from the top and reads it aloud to the group. He or she can also spell it, if necessary. 
3. Everyone else in the group looks up the word in the dictionary.
4. The game continues until there are no cards left.

Everybody must find the word before the next card is

flipped. Help each other out!!
