Linking words

Linking words (voegwoorden) worden gebruikt om twee zinnen samen te voegen. 

Examples: And, But, Because, SO

Betekenis van voegwoorden: Laten zien wat de verbinding is tussen de zinnen

Linking words

BUT (maar): Tegenstelling met de vorige zin. 

 She wants to buy a car but can't afford it.
