Aan het einde van de les kan de leerling:

- In het Engels vertellen wat hij/zij/die ziet op een afbeelding

- Navertellen wat de regels voor de present simple en contiuous zijn (wanneer en hoe je ze gebruikt)

- Laten zien dat hij/zij/die dit ook kan toepassen in de context van een zin

Speaking game

In the next slide, you´ll find some pictures.

The teacher will start by throwing a ball to someone, they pick one picture and say something about what they think they see in 2 sentences. They then throw the ball to someone else, they do the same and throw the ball again. We do this until 

everyone´s had the ball!

Note: you can not say anything that has already been said.

When do you use the present simple?

We use the present simple when an action is a habit or when it happens regularly

How do you make the present simple?

Formula: root form only!

he/she/it? Add -s or -es (when there is an s sound)

When do you use the present continuous?

The present continuous indicates that an action is happening now and will continue in the future or will happen in the near future.

How do you make the present continuous?

Formula: to be [am, is, are] + root form + -ing

Am/Are/Is: when do you use which?

           I                        am

he/she/it             is

we/you/they        are
