* Passive Voice: "My father usually buys flowers for my mother." - flowers are  usually bought for my mother.

Verschil actieve - passieve zin

Actief: The thieves stole my phone last Summer. 

Het onderwerp: 'the thieves' staat vooraan in de zin.... 

Passief:  The phone was stolen by thieves last summer. 

Het lijdend voorwerp: 'the phone' staat hier vooraan in de zin..

Waarom?

*Passieve zinnen worden gebruikt om: 

-  aan te geven dat de persoon / ding die de actie ondergaat, het belangrijkst is. 

1.) The flowers were bought by my mum. 

2.) The phone is charged every night.

* Passieve zinnen worden ook gebruikt bij misdaden van wie je niet wie de dader is: 

-My phone was stolen in Barcelona.  

Stappenplan passief maken van een zin......

je gebruikt am/are/is  en dan zet je -ed achter het werkwoord/ 3e vorm (onregelmatig werkwoord).. in de tegenwoordige tijd

1. The tent (it) is cleaned by my mother.

2. the flowers (they) are bought by me. 

Maak van deze actieve zin een passieve zin...
"My parents always buy newspapers."

1. Newspapers was always bought by my parents
2. Newspapers is bought by my parents.
3. Newspapers are always buyed by my parents.
4. Newspapers are always bought by my parents.

Passive voices (v.t.)

Was/were + voltooid deelwoord (ww+ed / 3e vorm)

My phone was stolen by the thief. 

The trophies were awarded by the major. 

"The grizzly bear attacked the hunter last year."

1. The grizzly bear were attacked by the hunter last year.
2. The grizzly bear is attacked by the hunter last year.
3. the grizzly bear was attacked by the hunter last year.
