The Netherlands belongs to the rich countries of the world, it is a MEDC. What does MEDC stand for, type your answer!

•  Differences in wealth are not only between countries
• They exist within countries too
• Specific parts can be rich and some can be poor

• Regional disparities
• Rich regions have better access to services: hospitals, supermarkets and schools
• Poor regions have less services
• Urban regions are often rich
• Rural regions are often poor 

Differences in the level of development between regions in one country.

•  If the difference is too big people from rural areas move to the city
