Present Continuous

Present Continuous

We use the Present Continuous to talk about things that are happening now. 

We form the Present Continuous using: (am / is / are) + (verb+ing).

I am eating 

Mr Boom is eating 

We are eating 

Present Continuous

If a word ends in an -e, we remove the -e and add -ing

Live -> Living

Drive -> Driving

Present Continuous

If the word ends in a short vowel+consonant (korte klinker + medeklinker), we double the consonant: 

Sit -> Sitting

Stop -> Stopping
