What is the First Conditional and how do you create it?

5.2 First Conditional

You can use the first conditional to predict future results of  actions. 

ACTION                                                FUTURE RESULT

If + present simple                                will/won't + verb

If he decides to take a gap year, he will travel abroad.

If the pandemic ends, Ms. Wildeman will go to NYC.

Write a relative clause.

5.5 Relative Clauses

You can use relative clauses to provide additional information. 

Sarah works for a man who used to be an actor.

Eurovision was held in the Netherlands which is an European country.

Hogeschool Utrecht is a school where Ms. Wildeman studies.

Grammar story

Write a short story (100-150 words) explaining what you will do once the pandemic is over. 

Use the FC at least five times. 

Use at least four relative clauses.

For example: If corona goes away, I will go to Ney York. My sister and I will sleep in a hotel, which will be expensive.

Name the five words you can use for conditional clauses.
