Hi Ben!

Great to hear from you again. I will pick you up from the Airport Schiphol on April 25. 

I'm doing pretty good at school. In March we had to do our internship. My internship was at a primary school. I had to help the teachers, it was actually very nice helping the kids. I didn't like getting up so early. I had to be there at 8 o'clock in the morning. Now that I am thinking of it, I would like to study to become a teacher. 

I stopped playing basketball. I am now going to the gym twice a week. Do you do any sports? By the way, I am looking forward to going to Madam Tussauds! Do you have any other ideas for your stay here in the Netherlands?

Dear Ben,

It’s great to hear from you again! How are you? How was your schooltrip to Berlin? Did you have a lot of fun? I went on a schooltrip to the Ardennes in September last year. It was super fun. We did a lot of scary things.

I had never heard of Shrove Tuesday. I’ve seen a video about Shroves Tuesday in class. I understand this holiday now. Do you celebrate Shrove Tuesday?

In the Netherlands we celebrate King’s Day. On this day all the Dutch are off from work to celerbate the king’s birthday. We dress in orange. We can celerbate King’s Day as well, when you’re here on holiday! We are going to the flea market in Utrecht. There are a lot of festivals as well.
