Tenses

Present simple: I want a pony for Christmas 

Present continuous: I am riding a pony, the wind is blowing in my hair! 

Past simple: I wanted a pony for christmas last year

Future:  I will ask for a pony next christmas / I will be asking for a pony next christmas

A story can have multiple tenses

Last week I went to a farm, they had goats and I fell in love at once! So I asked my partner if he wants a goat as well. He said no.. :( 

But what he does not know is that I asked my mother for a goat for christmas. I hope I will find a goat under the christmas tree! I really want a goat. 

So when you write on your test

Think carefully about: which tense is this

Past -> present -> future
