What is the plan?

Lesson goals: Enjoy the English language, practise active listening & learn new words.

Introduction (before watching):

Choose a movie or serie by reading the description and watching the trailer. Please put your subtitles in the English language or switch them off fully.

Student activity (while watching):

Here is a list of questions. Read through these questions before watching the film/series and answer them all while you watch or afterwards. (or both)

1. Who is the main character? Please describe. (min 100 words) Looks, traits, clothing, character etc.

2. In what place and time is the movie/series set and how do you know? (min. 75 words)

3. Are there any other important characters? Who are they and why are they important? (describe globally: at least 100 words)

4. How did the main character change throughout the movie? You can use an example or make a 'before/after' story (at least 100 words)

5. Write a short summary, use 150-200 words!

6.What is the message behind this movie? (as long as you need)

12. Can you explain the title ?

13. While watching you will hear some new words. Write them down in a list below and translate them to Dutch by looking them up online or in the dictionary. (This way you will add some new words to your vocabulary.)
