To understand how the following tenses are formed and when they are used: Past simple, past continuous, present perfect 

Present perfect? What does it look like? What does it indicate?

Example: I was looking for my keys when I found my book

Example: I looked for my glasses but couldn't find them.

Ends in +ed or it is an irregular verb

past form of 'to be' ww+ing (was/were ww+ing)

Have/has + voltooid deelwoord

Example: Jeff has bought a new car.

verbs end with +d/+ed unless they are irregular 

Indicates a finished action in the past 

An action that started and finished in the past but continued for a while. 

Completed action in the past that is important now or is connected to now

past form of "to be" ww+ing
