In jullie PTA02 gaan jullie aan de slag met schrijven en lezen. Je moet dingen vertellen over het land waar je vandaan komt en vragen naar ervaringen van anderen. Hiervoor moet je de woorden en zinnen uit hfst 3 gebruiken. 

We gaan deze natuurlijk goed oefenen. We starten hiermee met een vocab quiz, zodat je de woorden vaak herhaalt en leert.

Stone 5: talking about facts and beliefs

In PTA02 moet je een brief schrijven waarin je zinnen en woorden gebruiken die uit hoofdstuk 3 komen. Hier gaan we de komende weken mee oefenen. 

We gaan eerst onderzoek doen naar typisch Nederlandse tradities en tradities uit Engels-sprekende landen.

Daarna ga je hierover in het Engels een oefenbrief schrijven. 

Eerst gaan we je voorkennis testen. Wat weet je al?

Opdracht

Team up with a classmate. Together, try to come up with 3 or 4 important cultural traditions or social customs from the Netherlands.

Then, found 3 or 4 traditions from English-speaking countries. 

Use Google, Tiktok, Snapchat, Youtube, etc!

You have to find 3 or 4 new customs/traditions. So not from the previous slides ;). 

Write them down in Dutch, then translate them to English.

Homework

Write an e-mail to your teacher in which you tell her about 6 to 9 interesting customs/traditions from the Netherlands and Engish-speaking countries. 

Rules:

• Use stone 5 (page 22) and the Theme Words (page 48) in your book.
• You are allowed to use Google, Youtube, Snapchat, TikTok, etc!
• The e-mail should be all in English
• The presentation should contain about 200 words
• Send the e-mail to your teacher ([e-mail])
• Make sure you start and end the e-mail correctly
