1. Ik ben op vakantie geweest naar Frankrijk en Portugal.

1. Interactive oral (25%) : February/March during the school weeks 

--> 15 minutes speaking in Dutch 

Starting point: SL: picture of one of the themes / HL: Book extract

15 minutes preparation time 

1. Presentation of the picture or book extract

2. Questions from the teacher

3. General discussion about one of the themes

2. Paper 1: Writing (25%): During the exam week

- Choice from 3 tasks (variety of audiences, contexts and purposes) 

- Choose the appropriate text type (letter, blog, essay, proposal, review,...)

- Write a text in Dutch with the correct text type conventions 

SL: 250 - 400 words (1h 15m)

HL: 450 - 600 words (1h 30m)

3. Paper 2:  Reading (25%): During the exam week

--> 3 Dutch texts with questions about content and vocabulary

SL: 3 informative articles  (1h)

HL: 2 informatie articles + 1 literary extract (1h)

--> 3 Dutch audio passages with questions about content and vocabulary

--> Both Dutch and Flemish accents

All tests are 'formative' tests --> only the exam grade counts!

Your grade for DutchB might be low at first, but should become higher towards the end of DP2

Road to success: 

- Be active during the lessons: speak only Dutch, tell me when you don't understand me! 

- Do your homework, only 1 chance for feedback 

- Use Dutch outside of the lessons! Find a weekend job, speak Dutch with friends, watch Dutch television, listen to the Dutch radio, read Dutch news/magazines/..., 

- Learn more about the Dutch culture: television, visit cities, hang out with Dutch people,...

2. Introductie Unit 1 - Identiteit 

Presentatie: Fotocollage

Spreken: Fotocollage 

1. Je maakt per 2 een fotocollage met foto's die jullie als personen definiëren. Denk aan hobby's, interesses, familie, vrienden, sporten,... 

2. Je maakt deze collage in Slides, Google Doc, Canva of in een andere template. 

3. Sla je bestand op in een nieuwe map (folder) met de naam: 'Naam' - DP1 - Dutch B en deel deze map met mij. 

4. Na de voorbereidingstijd presenteert iedereen de fotocollage aan de rest van de klas. Je gaat praten over je klasgenoot: leg per foto uit waarom deze foto bij je partner past en waarom hij/zij voor deze foto heeft gekozen.
