Present Simple vs. Continuous

You use the present simple to talk about facts, habits and routines

(time expressions: always, usually, every day/morning/summer, on Saturdays etc.)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Present Simple vs. Continuous

You use the Present Continuous:

-To talk about activities at the moment of speaking

-To talk about temporary actions

(time expressions: at the moment, now, right now, today, this month, this summer, etc.)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

------Remember!------

These verbs (feelings) do not have the Present Continuous form:

believe, hate, know, like, love, mean, need, prefer, understand, want. 

Gebruik ik "Will" of "Shall"? 

Will gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren.

Je gebruikt voor alle personen dezelfde vorm:

+  I will watch a movie tonight.

+ korte vorm :You’ll (You will) watch a movie tonight.

- He will not watch a movie tonight.

- korte vorm :We won’t watch a movie tonight.

?  Will they watch a movie tonight?

Bij vragen met I en we kun je will of shall gebruiken.

Shall gebruik je als je een voorstel doet of naar iemands voorkeur vraagt:

Shall we watch a movie tonight
