Difference say and tell

Tell --> when you want to mention who is spoken to

'Mrs Nowak, I am paying attention', said Kevin

Kevin told Mrs Nowak he was paying attention.

Say --> don't usually mention the person who is spoken to 

'Mrs Nowak, I'm happy', said Kevin

Kevin said he was happy.

Choose 5 quotes to write down: Write down exactly what the guests are saying (direct speech)

Afterwards: rewrite the sentences in reported

Then, in groups of 3-4 have a gossip about the guests, report the funniest gossip back to class

Rewrite to reported speech:
Julie: "I want to go out."

1. Julie said that I want to go out
2. Julie said that she want to go out.
3. Julie said that she wanted to go out.

1. Tom said that he slept in that morning
