The food chain illustrates how organisms, including plants and animals, rely on one another for sustenance. It starts with plants, which use a process known as photosynthesis to create their own food by utilizing sunlight. Then, in order to obtain the energy they require, animals consume plants or other creatures. A cycle of energy transmission from one living creature to another is thus created."
