Slide 1 - Tekstslide

Learning goals
  • Explain what is meant by a continuous variable and a discrete variable.

  •  To know in what case to use a pie chart, bar chart or graph.

Slide 2 - Tekstslide

tables and graphs – Exercise
1. Read 4.5
2. Give a definition in your own words for the following concepts:

  • Discrete variable – give an example.
  • Continuous variable – give an example.

  •  Bar chart – also draw an example of a bar chart.
  • Pie Chart – also draw an example of a pie chart.

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

Discrete variable
  • A variable which you can only express in whole numbers.
  • Example: The number of goals in a soccer match
