QUESTION TAGS

Wat is een question tag?

• Question tag = aangeplakte vraag

• bijvoorbeeld:  He's a good guy, isn't he?

• In het NL: : "toch?" of "hè"

Stap 1:

Hoofdzin ontkennend --> tag bevestigend

BV. He isn't a good guy, is he?
                   -                                 +

Stap 1:

Hoofdzin bevestigend --> tag ontkennend

BV. He's a good guy, isn't he?

Hulpwerkwoorden

Als er een hulpwerwoord in de zin staat, kun je het herhalen.

Bijv.

He can swim, can't he?

Mrs. van Dalfsen should be at school, shouldn't she?

De hulpwerkwoorden zijn: 

can/could                   was/were

shall/should              must

will/would

 may/might

have/has/had

do/does/did

am/is/are

En als er geen hulpwerkwoord in de zin staat?

Dan moet je naar de tijd van de zin kijken:

She works at the office, does she?

                     I work at the office, do I?     T.T do/don't

She worked at the office, didn't she?

I didn't work at the office, did I?

Hulpwerkwoord: herhaal het in de tag

Geen hulpwerkwoord: t.t = do/don't  of does/doesn't

               v.t = did/didn't
