Past Continuous
  • Gebruiken we om te zeggen dat iets een tijdje bezig was in het verleden.

Stap 1: Kijk naar het onderwerp van de zin en kies 'was' of 'were'.
Stap 2: Zet -ing achter het hoofdwerkwoord in de zin.

Voorbeeld: He was making a sandwich at lunchtime.
Vertaling: Hij was een sandwich aan het maken tijdens lunchtijd.
