Past simple - questions
For questions, ‘Do’ changes into ’did’
After ‘did’, always use the infinitive (hele werkwoord). The past tense is already in the word ‘did’.
For a form of ‘to be’ (= am/is/are), let your verb swap places with your subject (I/you/she/he etc) and change into the past (was/were)

Negative sentences / negations
For a negation, you need to use ‘not’ gebruiken. Put 'not' behind 'did'. Remember to use 'did' in the past simple, and not 'do'! Do not = don’t Did not = didn’t
